Mail Processor

Essential Functions
- Adheres to the department strict timeframes for processing all inbound and outbound mail
- Picks up the inbound mail from the U.S. Post Office daily and securely delivers the mail back to the RTR office located in Dallas TX for processing
- Prepares outbound letters for mailing – runs letters through the folder and inserter machine and adds postage via the postage meter in accordance with company policy
- Reviews and identifies various types of inbound correspondence for content and correctly delivers the mail to the correct department, management, legal, executive personnel, etc..
- Identifies the correct account number(s) and enters the correct notes, warning flags and other identifiers within the servicing systems
- Timely picks up mail throughout the office that needs to be mailed out
- Prepares outbound certified mail for mailing – completes certified mail green cards and receipt; runs certified mail through the folder and inserter machine and adds correct postage via the postage meter in accordance with company policy
- Prints daily outbound mail jobs from various sources
- Prepare and mail packages via UPS and/or FedEx
- Scans correspondence into the electronic file system
- Assists with inventory of mail supplies
- Stocks and maintain outbound mail supplies for all departments
- Assists with special projects as needed
- Keeps mailroom clean and free from clutter
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 4+ Years of Mailroom
- 2+ Mortgage servicing experience required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and credit check to client required standards
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and a good driving record.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team and management
- Strong Strategic thinking skills to help improve team and personal areas of responsibility
- Possess strong analytical skills for decision-making
- Possess leadership skills to assist management with team training and other functions
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand or bend for an extended period of time
- Highly detailed oriented and possess the ability to prioritize work and work within deadlines
- Should enjoy speaking with people and performing computer research
- Likes working in a fast paced environment
- Ability and willingness to gain knowledge on the collections industry
- Ability to meet regular attendance requirements and schedules established for the department Ability to work as a team member; effectively sharing ideas, skills and knowledge
